A Questionable Legend
The commonly told legend of the Three Sisters is that three sisters (Meehni', 'Wimlah' and Gunnedoo') lived in the Jamison Valley as members of the Katoomba tribe. They fell in love with three men from a neighbouring tribe (the Nepean tribe), but marriage was forbidden by tribal law. The brothers were not happy to accept this law and so decided to use force to capture the three sisters. A major tribal battle ensued, and the sisters were turned to stone by an elder to protect them, but he was killed in the fighting and no one else could turn them back. This legend is claimed to be an Indigenous Australian Dreamtime legend.
However, Dr Martin Thomas, in his work "The artificial horizon: imagining the Blue Mountains", clearly shows that the "aboriginal" legend is a fabrication created by a non-Aboriginal Katoomba local, Mel Ward, presumably to add interest to a local landmark. The story originated in the late 1920s or early 1930s and is unknown prior to that date. The Aboriginal traditional owners, the Gundungurra, have a legend that includes the Sisters rock formation.
Anyway, the Three Sisters are a rock formation in the Blue Mountains of New South Wales, Australia. They are close to the town of Katoomba and are one of the Blue Mountains' best known sites, towering above the Jamison Valley. The Sisters were formed by land erosion. The soft sandstone of the Blue Mountains is easily eroded over time by wind, rain and rivers, causing the cliffs surrounding the Jamison Valley to be slowly broken up.

The Legend of Wanda however is less questionable, after all we received these images that show that she's is still on walkabout with @Ameeee who takes her to landmarks that make us non-Australians brush up on Oz Dreamtime...
More on Wanda's Travels: The Chronicles
Addendum: Wanda hasn't been there yet, but it seems that New South Wales also has The Three Brothers,
with their own aboriginal legend attached. This is what they look like:

"I'm so sorry you didn't recieve these photos of Wanda last year.
Wanda drove me to work one day. It was super scary, but she did her best.
Wanda caught up with an old Canadian friend while she was with me in Sydney, Australia.
My elderly dog was a bit uncomfortable around Wanda. But Wanda was very well mannered."

In May last year Wanda visited Dr Opbear @Flickword in Sydney. We have been wondering what happened to the pictures.
They finally arrived, but the accompanying descriptions got lost somehow.
What is going on here? A Koala application?
@salonartwois Lol :) Actually, during Wanda's stay with me, i appointed her my temp PA. We'd meet every morning to discuss work to be done.— Dr Opbear (@Flickword) March 5, 2013

Many current Artwiculate players will know that once upon a time there was a scoring system, and players could vote, resulting in a winning tweet, a Top 5, Top 20, Top 50. That system has been taken down now, for good or ill.
What is certainly 'ill' is that - for reasons best known to themselves - Artwiculate have also removed the archive, which showed the top tweets for every single word of the day. This would be a treasure trove of wit, poetry, puns, clever wordplay, haiku, playfulness.. all gone.
Recently, I happened across the screenshots I made each day I won (vanity, vanity, all is vanity!). These showed not only my winning tweet, but as many tweets as I could fit into a single screenshot. I have converted these using OCR software, and offer them here as a record of happier days, and as an archive - sadly, only a drop in the ocean - of some of the tweets that found popularity with voters.

There’s a hubbub in the town
and the story’s going round
that the wordsmith will artwiculate today.
They’ll gather in the square
and demonstrate their flair,
tossing nouns and verbs and concepts in high play.
You will wonder at their skill
and the way that they can fill
the air with sparkling phrases and with wit,
and your heart will lift with joy
at the brilliance they deploy
and the anagrams and puns that they commit.
With open mouths you’ll gaze
at their daring turns of phrase,
and their repartee will hold you in their thrall –
as they dance upon the highest wire of all.
