  1. Bravo, BRAvo, BRAVO! I am touched, teched as my Appalachian relatives used to say. Such inspiring haiku I shall never see elsewhere. So, you want to go to my place and come to your haiku's content?

  2. Awesome! How did you do that without laughing?!

  3. Haha, Max. I'll pass.
Paul: Many takes, grasshopper. Many many takes.
It was fun though, however crazy I may have looked laughing my butt off while trying to read seriously.

  4. Paul, the recordings took forever to do... no matter how hard I tried not to think about what I was reading I kept cracking up and needing to re-record, over and over again. I lost count over the number of times I had to redo Michelle's "gizzard caress" and "poutine", and Jon's "golden gems" and "Bang"! At least our efforts seem to have found an appreciative audience :-)

  5. Some of those weren't so bad! I voted for 'golden gems', it was beautiful :-)

  6. Oh dear. I don't know whether to laugh or cry! Actually I laughed a LOT. Then blushed deep red to my toes when I remembered being genuinely impressed by some of those when I first saw them - I certainly didn't realise they were ALL TAKING THE P*SS!!!

I really really truly thought that Michelle had dabbled in glitteringly surreal imagery when she came up with "peas and sunshine" and "swim in an octopus" - I was in genuine admiration!!

So ... are you three going to now confess that all these were originally composed only for laughs .. or is the Emperor still wearing SOME clothes?

  8. Wonderful! Wonderful! Wonderful!

Like Tidd, I thought many of these were genuine attempts - I even complained about them. NOW I understand!

    ROFLMAO!

  9. I complained about some of them, I mean. Some of them I was impressed by.

    Hehe!

  10. Haha, thanks Tidd and everyone. I really was just joking but am happy you all enjoyed them. It was a lot of fun coming up with them and reading them!

  11. Well I think you're TOO MODEST Michelle!! I think a peas and sunshine talent needs cultivation (no pun intended...). Though you would, of course, have to write them with exactly the same irreverence as the originals :-) or they simply wouldn't come off :D
